Many people go through a complete bottoming before rising to the top. (J.K. Rowling is a perfect example) If someone was not homeless and claimed they were they would likely suffer a set back for lying. Life works like that. Nobody here has the right to say what another person does or doesn't do unless you have factual proof. And no matter what is going on with the posters in any thread, the object is to learn a lesson and hopefully not make the same mistakes. Lesson learned - Always keep a backup copy of your files. Taylor, a friendly advise, i would suggest you could hire someone or ask someone to double check the script for you. No offence taken please. There is nothing wrong with original script but i am not sure regarding those "crack version". Another possibility is your forum receive massive traffic where the server can't take it? Thanks for the support sundaybrew. I hope you and I can get along from now on. And Fewski... that's an extremely stupid thing to say. You cannot get on welfare (called Ontario Works here in Ontario) unless you are genuinely homeless. There's no reason why I could apply for welfare on my own if I were living with a parent or somebody else. What more do you want to prove that I am telling the truth? Pamphlets from the shelter I was staying in? A photo of me sleeping under a fucking tree? When it comes down to it, I've provided more than enough evidence to back up my story. Hell, you know what I'll do? I just looked in my old back from last year and I found the receipt for a cheque from Ontario Works (welfare). I've got it right here. I'll take a picture of it for you if that'll give you the e-boner you're looking for. And for zinruss... the first server got hacked and apparently so did this new one. It was just a coincidence. Haha I'll try my best to hold my tongue, just for you alright. My site gets a few hundred to a few thousand uniques a day really. It varies greatly from day to day. And yes I found a host but they got hacked coincidently on the same day as I moved so it's currently down. Apparently the defence kicked in though and disabled http and https access so everything is save. It's rebooted and will be up in a few hours apparently. They have been around for a few years actually it turns out and this is the first time in 6-7 months that there has been down time. The guy is very professional and I have his mobile number if anything goes wrong. I'll see how it feels and go from there. They don't oversell either so that's good.

Having enough issues with companies I am paying $30.00 a month And a couple of them I am paying $99.00 a year. If you take free hosting, you are in the death chamber.
I used them, and I moved my site because of how bad there hosting was. For a big company with a lot of awards, they have a lot of downtime and their databases are slow. You get errors and timeouts often when using databases with netfirms.
Hey Taylor, Sorry to hear about your predicament. I run several dedicated machines that might have room for you if your site isn't extremely resource intensive. What are your stats? What sort of technologies do you use? (I'm pretty much a 100% Microsoft shop, and don't run a PHP interpreter or Cold Fusion on any of my servers). PM me if you want to work out some sort of link exchange for some free hosting.
I run a server / home pc tuned kitted like a server 4 gig ram twin xp 3.4 and 740 gig of space from a HOUSE witha 4 meg line also ups, with no probs, plus resolves in a round a second generally. on a home package hosting windows with 11 sites with no probs, ? however im whack by your reckoning, why?
Hey we don't swear! lol Seriously tho free hosting is you get what you pay for can't expect too much out of it... that's why i run unmanaged vps if there's a problem i can only blame myself.
