Hello I feel a bit sick, let me tell you my story. In a nutshell, i was burned by an independant SEO specialist. I had paid over $800 dollars for several pages to be optimised for terrible keywords, i had also paid for a promotion campaign with the same specialist, he promised me links, he promised me reports and he promised me improvement of visitors at the very least, basically, he promised me f~~k all. After 5 months and almost a 1000 dollars, i see 4 visitors a day who are non targetted web wanderers who might as well be shopping for shotguns as opposed to a bingo registration form and all those spammy links he built me have been taken by our master, google, is right too. Rather than fight this person, i'm going to walk away and cut my losses, i am going to destroy bingoboots.com. I had known someone who had done well in bingo online, i wanted this too, so i tried to go for it, i got lost and robbed along the way, but here's the road i find myself. I had no passion for my site, i wanted the money, i had no interest in this niche, so i deserve the aching belly, when i eat food from off the floor. Over the past week i have read more words than google itself, i've brainstormed my backside and i've not stopped. I've began a new project and this is something i love, it relates to my interest to my hobbies and i enjoy working on it. Now listen to this. I uploaded this new page to my server one week ago, it is not yet registered or indexed anywhere, i put it there just to keep me motivated. Anyway, this one page gets 20 random visits a day, the page is already indexed and it's already more successful than my 5 month project and it aint even built, i even had 3 visits from strange keywords i had'nt worked for. My advice is this, i believe that content is power, when you write about something you have passion about, you write for the customer and you write for the buyer, but most importantly you write for the visitors. Wait till the site is optimised and the other 99 pages are in place, more than anything, i'm looking forward to doing the work myself, every last bit. It cost me a $1000 to make me sick But it will cost me nothing to get better. I'm gonna put so much work into this thing, and prove to all of us, that with a bit of dedication and sticking to the rules, the power of content will rule my niche, and the SEO will soldier it. Watch me fly guys, i'll let you know how the project is going. James Creation Thompson RIP BINGOBOOTS.COM
Congratulations. You have learned that the power of the internet is CONTENT, CONTENT, CONTENT. Kind of an expensive lesson, but it will save you thousands in the long run.
You don't have to be passionate about a topic to write about it. (Though it sure does help.) But what most people should learn is not to over-complicate things. KISS. (Keep It Simple Stupid.)
