    Its a great feeling - and something you can brag about to family and friends. I remember my Dad finally realized I was actually "working" instead of "playing computer" when her learned of my USA Today mention. :D

    Please keep us posted whether Yahoo! links you in the directory. I have yet to see mine listed after I appeared in USA TODAY, so let me know what's up with your sites. This would be a cool little secret on how to get listed in Yahoo if it works.

    I do hope my site gets it...

    I agree we should delete this thread this was very easy or very lucky

    Not only did we get listed in USA TODAY but out of the 3 sites they pick each day we all got the top spot :D

    Hey Haichi and skunker that is great about your sites.

    You know, it may not just be Yahoo Directory that picks you up. I noticed in my stats yesterday that a DMOZ editor has been looking around too. I did submit to them a long time ago, so this may just be coincidence, but I have heard a lot of people in other forums complaining about DMOZ not being very good these days so this could be a USA Today effect.

    I am a DMOZ editor but I have been so bored with it I don't want to edit new cats
    I've been doing it for years now not sure if dmoz means much to anyone anymore

    I can't really get you in if your site is not in my CAT
    but I can try to help you find the best ways to get listed faster
    DMOZ editors go on vacation often :)

    I was away for a while after I posted this I felt guilty and went to edit my cats

    PM me there is a DMOZ help forum I can link you to let me look for it
