How many products should I recommend on my weight loss site/blog? I don't want to put too many banners on my site/blog in fear I'll look like a typical scam site. I was wondering how many different weight loss products should be offered or recommended.? I'm building a blog with weight loss tips and tricks along with some product reviews. I want it to come across as informational but want to also figure out the amount of products to promote without seeming like i'm pushing products on everyone. I hope my question isn't silly. I just want to seem legit and not like a typical crappy affiliate marketer. Shannon
Don't go for banners. Go for reviews. Make a new category in your menu "Reviewed products" and get 3-4 products. Rank them in your menu category with stars. If you need a recommendation for a product, I would recommend Proactol. They are running some great campaigns with great resources: Proactol featured in the Telegraph - An independent and authoritative article online, which backs up your Proactol recommendations. Lose weight for your wedding - All women involved in weddings want to look their very best. With great tips and a 15% discount to boot on deals 3 months and above, there’s no reason not to promote such a great campaign. Be Beach Happy - With holidays approaching, we’re all beginning to think about diets and weight loss. This campaign is aimed at losing that extra added lbs and toning up before going away. Love your body after pregnancy - This campaign is proving popular already, with its great tips on how to lose weight after women have stopped breastfeeding. With over 15% off on deals 3 months and above. Proactol's Get A Box Free Offer - still giving away a free box of Proactol with the packages 4 months and above ie. + 1 Proactol box, which is great for customers and terrific for you as it has a higher RRP / perceived value. plus customer testimonials, a ERSP (Electronic Retailing Self-Regulation Program) Landing Page and a fresh Proactol affiliate guide. To join MoreNiche and promote Proactol and other unique products, click the 2nd link in my signature. To your success!
I hate too many banners on a site. It's annoying. I'm going to give the review option a go. Thanks. Where can I go to make a "opt in" mailing list sign up form for my site or blog? Thanks
if you can have users review and rate the products that could really help your site be more interactive ... you can then see which products they gravitate towards and do special reviews on those ... just a thought
I think the true benefit of a blog, is the continual content increase.. updating daily with resh articles, shows a real progression and displays a good knowledge base for customers to refer to.. Like already mentionded above.. have a niche specific blog with tips, hints, guidance and support... included within this you should have recommended products...and every now and again, like once a week... you can do a product review and analysis of the benefits. Just my .02 You get an opt-in form from a company like AWeber Shannon... I have just replied to your PM...speak soon and take care Jay
I myself fear when I add more than 3 banners on my Site. Normally if a website has a lot of banners, especially flashy banners, I will leave the website right away. Like the guy above suggested, make a section just for reviews and review the products. -Ryu
You can put it all in your site just make a group category like cheap weight loss products, most effective, top seller etc. this will help a lot.
I would only use 3. Have picture of each one and review pros and cons of each product. That way people can choose wich one and do not have to many choices to decide from.
