Hello all, i recently purchased a .im domain, (myspacelayouts.im) but for some reason Google still does not even know it exists, I submitted the url to Google, Yahoo and still nothing. It's been about 2 months since i purchased it, slapped some content on there just while i develop it. I've Linked to it from other sites i have, and nothing. For example even if i type the domain name in, it still doesnt come up (Searched: www.myspacelayouts.im) obviously Google is dropping the ball here with the .im domains/sites, they are not as on top of things as they would have us believe,LOL. (pay attention shareholders) anyway, does anyone have any suggestions? thanks.

Spiders follow links and spider the destination file if it's spiderable. The TLD has no effect on whether a document is spiderable. If your site had a .com TLD it would make no difference.

All you have to do to test your theory that Google "doesn't recognise .IM domains" is find a .IM domain that is indexed. You can do this yourself next time you have a theory :)

    I second that.
Haven't heard of Google banning a particular domain name extension..

    Because it's not been indexed.

You wrongly assume that the reason your site is not indexed is because it's on a .IM domain.

Get more links and be patient :)

EDIT: Or maybe it's because it's an exact duplicate of http://www.myspacelayouts.us/ and has been filtered out of the SERPs because of this.
