This is why I like FF.

You can throw the most terrible error ridden html at it and your page will still show fine. I.E 1 wrong little tag or something and the entire layout is destroyed.

just cause you hate it a lot doesn't mean the whole world using IE has to use something else... different things suit different peoples needs.....

    Oh come on...

Nobody had even given IE a good bashing!

Personally, I'm less impressed with the performance of FF than I used to be. It's become a bit of a resource hog. For a browser, it sure is a hungry beast.

Right now on my machine it's taking a whopping 677Mb of Virtual Memory and 208Mb of Real Memory!!

    It's a web browser!

You found out that IE sucks first now?

IE7 is the slowest most unstable POS ever, and you have to add all kinds of coding shortcuts for stuff to display correctly.

We all feel that way about IE. Thats why we all (or at least most of us) use Firefox.

I agree with DLGx, IE7 has generated negative rep. for even the basic internet explorer. IE5 & 6 were just fine. I guess as microsoft has tried to copy the "tabbing feature" in FF, they are not able to fix this copied tabbing. For me this is the major problem with IE7. I can never surf more than 2 sites at a time with it..It gets kind of overworked and crashes! FF is a superman! I can navigate through all of my membership sites as smoothly as a knife on butter.

You should switch to Opera then. It's smaller and faster.

The only times I ever use internet explorer is when I'm checking how compatible my sites are.

Other then that it's firefox all the way.

Are you serious? Opera is a nightmare unless you don't use CSS or other formatting in your web pages. It randomly picks and chooses what it wants to display correctly. You can even refresh a page and it will display differently even though the page didn't change.

    And it's insanely FAST.
