Ive used adsense for 1 year in my forum. My forum has 2k uniqe but the visitors dont click the ads. I used all of tricks; Edited colors of ads, Embed into messages, Deleted ads which was on homepage. etc. But max click number was 20!!!!! Finally i changed my mind. And added ads on homepage and embed into messages with strange colors. ATM i got 12 clicks. Am i happy? NO OFC. WTF Guys .
Mendes, whatever you do it wont help a lot; unfortunately forums are known to be the lowest CTR websites. I had embedded ads within messages/replies at a forum website, and it didnt help at all. simply, people coming to forum, they dont have an intention to search/browse/buy, they just want to browse the forum... can u tell me what the subject or url of forum, maybe I can comment better.
Any chance you could provide a link to your forum? I'd be happy to check it out and provide a review.
your best idea would be sell your site to someone else for higher profit it works with that amount of traffic i'd buy it
Ofcourse webmaster forums don't have a high CTR.. Most people who click on ads, don't really know they are ads..
I think this should be the first thing anyone reads when troubleshooting low adsense CTR. Have you tried embedding the ads within say the first post in a thread like a blog does [i.e. block ad to the left or right?] thatll definately get their attention and they MAY be more likely to click it? Else you could try making sure your meta tags and title tags are geared towards what kind of adverts you think your members may be interested in?
I just got several clicks a day. that means less than 1 dollar a day. sometime 2 cents. ) We can't make a live with that.
clicks also reflect the material in your site. If you have a site that has myspace material on it, it will get more clicks because it is a popular subject.
The best sites to put adsense on is sites that give reviews for stuff example: If your site has reviews for computer games, and people see a ad to buy computer games on your site, they will be more likely to click it because they are obviously interested in buying computer games... it worked with hybridcars.com
