I'm bombarded by "You have a new private message." popup/js confirm !!!

Help please, I'm bombarded with bopup by js confirm.

"You have a new private message.

Sender: xxxxxx
Title: yyyyyyyyyy

Click OK to view it, or cancel to hide this prompt"

when I click ok and open that message I cant delete it. No chance, still have Unread 1, Total xxxxxxx.

I'm trying to disable this awful feature in "Edit Options / Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up" but checkbox is always checked, when I change it and save the form nothing will save.

This makes forums.digitalpoint.com unusable.

And when the DB calms down, then only it will understand that you disabled the notifications...

what is the problem with this? pop-ups don't stop for a message.

I go in Edit Options
and unclick


Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up


then press save, but keep getting these pop-ups.very distracting and annoying how do you turn them off? They come up every screen.....

 

Have you even bothered reading my reply above your post?

 

Members please try to understand that there is serious problem with database/server and that all updates are being effected with a lot of time lag. Hence, even if you have read the PM, the database would record your action with a lag and till then, it would keep showing you the 'New PM received' pop up!

If you get highly annoyed because of it, simply log out and return after a while!

Same here, even after deleting the pms, they don't get deleted for a few hours.

 

A Request to dp team please fix this databese issue asap

 

Disable Javascript and they go away - easy.

 

We are incredibly aware of the problem. Shawn will fix it when he is ready and able to. Until then, we just put up with it.
