Hey Folks, after a few weeks seeing the whole "you are suspended due to infractions" screen, Im finally back again. I still feel that my ban was an insane example of MODs gone mad, which sounds like it could be a Saturday afternoon half hour TV show. I blogged about it here: http://www.costawebsites.com/2008/02/banned-from-dp-for-reporting-my-own-misplaced-thread.html and got the single biggest u/v to my blog that Ive ever had, with nearly 180 uniques (thats 3x my daily traffic). So anyway, Im back. Glad to be back, but the whole ban episode it must be said has left a sour taste. In the meantime Ive had some time off and started a few new projects, and I look forward to spending a lot longer here at DP. MOG
Nice to see you back. They don't like criticism so you might get infracted again! If it's any consolation they do occasionally review infraction decisions - I had one reversed completely out of the blue only last week.
I gotta say looking at why you were banned. Power, going to and head come to mind. The mods are needed but they gotta understand there are some other good webmaster forums about and if i was treated so shabbily i might not bother coming back..
yup i truly go in for you . i mean it getting into the skin if we keep getting infraction for just making 2 posts i think they should be a lot more understanding they are here to keep things in order other them kicking ppl out just bcoz they have a very big member base now
thanks guys for your show of support, Im guessing Im not going to be infracted here again as its in the general chat section, and lets face it, this IS general chat. Also, I realise that the MODs have a heck of a lot of work to do and that they dont get paid for it, but in certain circumstances further discretion should be used. Id be really interested to hear a mods point of view on this circumstance, but I for sure am NOT posting this thread in the "suggestions and feedback" forum as thats a sure way to attract further infraction points!
