    Yeah, i'm guessing there are some problems with it,
    but how does my site: http://www.veckd.com look in your browser?
    also, what are your opinions on the functionality and look of the site?
    Thanks,
    Greg

    alright, even though no one responded yet...
    I just fixed a bunch of stuff. The only browser I am unable to test in is IE7 and Opera. So if someone could check it out in those browsers I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    greg

    Hi -

    I like the clouds. The side scrolling idea is interesting for an experiment but I think for most applications it would be confusing for the user.

    A bit of advice for you, the Home, Work etc links, when you rollover them they turn dark grey which is hard to read.

    Good luck with the site!

    Javascript error in IE7. While it says it's on line 214 (obj.addEventListener( type, fn, false );), I think the problem is actually on line 37:

    addEvent(lnk,'click',HtinyScrolling.initScroll,false);
    Code (markup):
    The addEvent() function only takes 3 parameters, not 4. I think line 37 should read:

    addEvent(lnk,'click',HtinyScrolling.initScroll(false));
    Code (markup):
    Also, in IE7 the wrist image doesn't line up perfectly with the rest of the hand (it's shifted a bit to the left).

    And I didn't realize that I had to scroll sideways to access the content... I don't think many other people will realize it either. You may want to stick with vertical scrolling. Just a thought. :)

    Sorry - hate it!

    I'm looking at it in IE6 which seems to present OK (ish) - The contact form sometimes slips down the page when using certain window sizes.

    The logo and RSS text are very hard to read. Is the RSS feed to most important element of the site? It seems to grab all of the attention yet, because initially I ignorned to hard to read text I had no idea that I was meant to click it. Same goes for the navigation, which I think VPGuy missed completely. (Oh, i've just found the categories menu!)

    The scrolling is not smooth at all and on my laptop screen the background is almost entirely lost.

    Sorry I'm all up for innovation but I think that in this case it just gets in the way of the structure of the site.

    hmm, yeah. as i use it more and more, i'm beginning to hate it as well. It looks like i'll have to experiment in more practical ways.
    I'll let you know when I get a new layout done. Probably in a couple days.

    Thanks for the input,
    Greg
