i've looking at cj (and money making online) for the first time and its hard for me to understand a few things at cj and adword, for example i was looking at hp.com at cj that has a "keyword link" policy that goes like this: ::General Guidelines:: - Trademark bidding is permitted, but affiliates may NEVER outrank or outbid HP Home & Home Office Store. Outbidding HP Home Store may result in reversal of transactions and removal from our program. - Affiliates may NEVER use HP Home & Home Office Store, hp.com, hpshopping.com or shopping.hp.com, or any domain owned by HP for any URL listings within paid search placement or mask URLs with the hpshopping.com URL. - Language such as "official site" or "official store" in keyword descriptions is NOT permitted. - Misspelling of trademarked terms is permitted. - Use of HP, Hewlett-Packard and Compaq brand names (as references to products sold within HP Home & Home Office Store) is permitted. - Use of the HP Home & Home Office Store brand name is permitted within ad copy. - Affiliates engaging in paid search are limited to a maximum of two separate URLs per search result. ::Website Branding Guidelines:: 1) Affiliate must identify on their site that it is owned and operated by the affiliate. 2) Affiliate may not create a browser or border environment around HP content. 3) Affiliate May not present false information about HP products or services. 4) Affiliate may not use HP's Brand look and feel. 5) Affiliate site may not contain content that could be construed as distasteful, offensive or controversial, and should contain only content that is appropriate for all age groups. 6) Affiliate domain name can not contain the word "direct" as pertaining to HP or HP Home and Home Office Store. Code (markup): now is that saying that i cant use the "keyword link" html link, for the adword ad destination link? (because even though the link looks like this: "http://www.dpbolvw.net/click-2974848-10426044" it's redirects to hpshopping.com and thats suppose to not be allowed by the second term in the code written above ?)? so is that mean i can not possibly direct the adword ads to hp's site with out landing page?? and if thats so, why they made the keyword link in the first place if i cannot use it? HUGE THANKS for the helpers, im sorry for my lame english i try as hard as i can ps. i have another question, can someone use the banner links in cj and use them in a banner exchange program or banner ad network, ( paying ad agencies at cpc to show up the cj's banner and make profit from the margin?) or is it not allowed because basically the banner will be showen on a site which i dont have full control on? thanks in advance!
I think what it means is you can use hp.com and its variations as your keywords (for AdWords ads) but you can't bid too high on them. The truth is it will virtually be impossible for them (hp.com) to find out how high or low you bid. And yes, you are correct. You can't use hp.com as the display URL. It should be your own website with hp.com ads on it.
