In Federal and most State Courts, a letter sent by USPS is a letter received. Period end of story. All they have to do is produce a copy of the letter and it will be admitted as evidence.

I would explain your age and whats happening and give them information on your drop shipper as well as promise to not make sales of their products again.

You wouldn't get this letter if it was a real company threatening to sue you. It's probably a scam. $900 to avoid court? You can smell the scam all over it.

Well, Considering it'd probably be cheaper to pay the $890 rather then all of the court-fees.

    M8,

Im only 17 and ive been around the block a few times with this stuff. Ignore them 100%. The second you start contacting them or show aknowledgement then they will start attacking you. Just pretend you don't exist and you won't be worth their time.

I am also being sued for $15,000 plus all fees and court cost.........can anyone tell me what happened in their case? I would like to see a real answer posted on here, not just a guess or arm chair solution.

Speak to an attorney. They will be able to look up related court cases and see what the outcome was.

Hi there. I can see the fingerprints of this 'legal beagle' who has a habit of misconstruing things people say.

Ignore this poster. I don't want to get into the merits as I refuse to post in forums where I believe this participant who goes under several handles posts. They are not even legally qualified but have a contempt for Lawyers. I know of the cases they have cited. They probably looked them up on Google...LOL

    1) I miscontrued nothing that he said. Stephenc stated:

The idea that a potential lawsuit by Product Partners should be blown off simply because they didn't get the complained against party's eBay account banned is ridiculous. What part here constituted the act of "misconstruing things people say?"

    2) I do not have any other account on this forum than the Law-Dude one.

    3) I have no contempt for lawyers; I work for one. If you had an attention span, you would have read the whole forum thread and seen that I recommended that a lawyer's services be retained in two different posts on the first page alone.

    4) I found the cases through a combination of reading others' comments on it and asking the Product Partners site which receives piracy reports about P90X.

    5) Your site appears in Google when searching for "Pace Legal." I agree with you that looking things up on Google can be worthy of a laugh out loud.

I would suggest you to change the eBay account name to your parents asap. eBay could sue you for being under the age of 18 if this goes to court. or a permanent ban under your name and address.

Although I'm a late-comer to this post, I love the article from La Times! Bachelor totally ignored the lawsuit, and he lost his shirt (that is, unless he's a billionare). It's always best to consult with an attorney over any legal threat.
