Here's what I have. A website that is almost a year old, PR4. It ranks very well in Yahoo and MSN. Yahoo gives 2300+ links. I work hard on building links and have some good links, including a deep link from dmoz. Problem is. I dont rank in google for ANY term, i.e. google gives me 0 referals per month. I check allinanchor and im no where to be found as well. The thing is, I check my competitors sites, actually one of them is from DP. they are not listed in google, but they rank like 6th for allinanchor so when they get out of sand box they'll be golden. This is getting me a little worried as to maybe there is something wrong with my website? Google has my whole site indexed, and I have 90% original content ( mostly written by me). I try to get all one way links and have very little recipocal links. Should I start a recipical link building campaingn? Im sure I can get about 100+ themed links that way, but would that be good?
if you get 0 refferals from google it might not be a sandbox filter but something more serious, even tho some of my sites are in sandbox i still get hits from google for terms like 'my red socks are blue really'
I agree with just-4-teens, I have 2 sites stuck in the sandbox and I'll still get 10-30 refferals from google, again with more specific searches. I'm sure if you post/give the URL people here could have a look for you and maybe come up with some suggestions?
If its the sites in your signature then I know tons of dog keywords that are very high in competition. That could be it too.
www.dneprimport.com I even search for Dnepr Import, being my title and domain name and Im not even on first few pages.
I know its not all but a majority of them are. Here are a few that arent razors edge dog kennel - 273 Searches Per Day dog tracking collar - 377 Searches Per Day dog seat belt - 428 Searches Per Day
Right, I researched alot of them, most of my web pages point to a specific term that is being searched for. thing is I dont even rank for my own site name
I would change your page title and take your site name out and "home"- keep it for a couple of your main keywords - especially since you domain domain doesn't contain any relevant keywords to what you are trying to rank for. You only show 30 google backlinks. Google doesn't show all backlinks, but it's an indicator - and 30 really isn't very many to rank for any competitive keywords (yahoo always shows more, so compare it to other google sites). Most of your backlinks don't look like they are from relevant sites either - google really discounts forum backlinks. You need to try to get some backlinks from relevant sites - start by looking at who ranks high for the keyword(s) you are targeting and try to get a link from them. inanchor backlinks are becoming more and more important for google. They are a better indicator of ranking than allinanchor. I think google figures they are much harder to get than simply buying a textlink - or even the co-op. You might also try to limit your page names to relevant keywords that have no more than 3 words in them. A page with the name of "updated-dog-training-and-dog-food-sections" might look to google like you are trying too hard. I don't see anything obvious that would result in a penalty, I think you just need to work on getting links from relevant sites.
Hehe, the long page names are a rewrite scirpt fault I know everything about back links... The 30 page links are since last BL update which was god knows how long ago I try to do alot of relavent link building.
Hey I reckon you seem to be pretty much sandboxed, seems googles length of time is extending all the time used to be 3 to 6 months now alledgedly 9 to 12 months. If anyone can have a quick look at my site and see if I have any probs on my site, that would constitute major problems for google please say my url is.. Thanks mobile-heaven.com
MJewel could you elaborate on why inanchor is a better indicator than allinanchor? I'm not sure I understand the distinction between the 2.
