    Illustrator = Industry Standard

    Every professional design shop, print house, agency, etc all use Illustrator. They do this because its the best.

    Just as the print industry moved from Quark to InDesign, the design industry will use what is the best product.

    I've working in advertising for 14 years and I've never opened Corel Draw.

    Adobe Illustrator is better to use for printing industry.
    For Web design Corel Draw is more simple and convenient.

    So far, illustrator has done a good job for me. I always use illustrator to illustrate a lot of vector graphics. So far, never try Corel Draw

    Another 20 posts all saying 'Illustrator is best', 'illustrator is standard' etc, but still not one tangible benefit to justify paying 3 times the price. Is this just Adobe staff spamming? It seems that "if we tell people it's best enough, they'll believe it". I'm still waiting for one person to tell me a single specific thing that is better about Illustrator than CorelDraw. And don't give me stability either, as X5 is very stable now, and certainly crashes no more often than Illustrator.

    Both are good Vector based tools, usability is based on your work corel have more weight in printing industry ( like brochure designing, leaflet designing, pamphlet designing and logo designing) if you want to draw some high quality illustrations effectively go for illustrator.

    Thanks for sharing all your notions!

    In my point of view,Utility functions of both soft Illustrator or Corel Draw are same for Graphic designing and affect able for making much designing's many terms of images, logos and banners. I always used for Paint Shop Pro, Xara Xtreme Pro and Adobe phot shop CS3 to design everything.

    Thanks for considerations.

    Illustrator may be the "market leader", but that doesn't mean it's a superior product. I'd love to see the results of a poll that was restricted to people who have used BOTH programs extensively.

    And I prefer Corel Draw, even though I can no longer use it as I switched to Mac 18 months ago.
