Hi, just looking for an illustrator guru help, in illustrator cs3 say for example i cut a circle in half use extrude and bevel and then expand it after i get tons of tiny lines instead of a smooth circle - this is the same with many objects i expand with gradients - is there a way to stop this - thanks for any help neil.

I've got CS4 and it appears to work fine?
What sort of objects do this - apparently not all?

Having played with it, I get some liney effects when I use the bevel - extrude is OK.

Tom - only objects with gradients give me this effect and i dont want to use a gradient mesh on it - but say when you mark an orb using extrude and bevel then you obviously need to expand it so it doesnt make different effect when resized - but when it expands with gradients i get small white lines between shapes and between gradient
