Illustrator Exporting PNG Colour Changes

    Hi,

    When exporting a single colour object from illustrator using the 'File->Export' (as png) option, the colour of the image changes (it appears brighter).

    Anyone know how I can fix this?

    File>Document Color Mode and select RGB. Does that fix your problem?

    Yeah your color might be set to CMYK or Lab color perhaps? Either way it needs to be set for RBG like Jeremy above me said for web use!!

    Hi, I would recommend check the colour mode of your document. Also, when the save for web window comes up, I would check ALL settings and make sure they are correct for the png image.
