    Hi,

I do have some knowledge in Photoshop now i want to be very good in both photoshop and illustrator.

I have never touched illustrator before, i would like to ask graphic designers here, what do i do. Should i join classes of illustrator and do practice of photoshop at home with the help of online tutorial or i should go for photoshop classes to be very good with it and then join illustrator.

What i feel is that i should go for illustrator. Please advice according to your experience.

I would also like to know, is illustrator enough for logo designing, brochures, and all other print, web graphic work ?

I will be thanksful to you.

    Regards

I would get a book and learn how to master the tools then look online for tutorials to create the effects you require, the main thing is to master the basics first.

Illustrator is nice.. it will do most any print job.

It has a steep learning curve IMO I would suggest getting a book and going through the lessons. Just spend some time playing with the vector tools.

I have learned illustrator in on month just by looking for tutorial in the internet and mastering the pen tool. First of all learn pen tool, the go deeper into other functions of illustrator. When you learn illustrator, you can start making maney on the microstock agencies like shutterstock.

Like everyone has already said, pick up a book on it. Once you get the hang of it, it really isn't difficult. It's mainly about knowing how to use the pen tool to create whatever you want. If you've mastered the pen tool in photoshop, then it shouldn't be hard to master the one in Illustrator.

If you know photoshop well going to illustrator becomes easier as you'll be aware of many of the tools already, but going through some online tutorials for the tools you're not familiar with would be your best bet. Good luck, it's definitely worth it if you're doing vector work.
