Illegal MP3 sharing site

Hey Guys,

There's a site that manages to share new(in the market) mp3's - which are illegal - through a forum. It manages to upload the files in some file sharing service. The forum has the mp3 sharing thread hidden to guests and people with less posts - protected forum. Actuall y the domain is also redirected to some ip address. And the domain is registered in somebody's bogus name. Sreekrishna.

I contacted him by email but there's no response.

Now this sure is illegal - im wondering is he smarter than all of us here or is there a way to curb this?

 

There is really no point in trying to stop these things. The RIAA can't even get it stopped. If there are songs to listen to and software to use, there are going to be people uploading it and cracking it. Good luck though.

find out what keywords they are ranking for and outrank them in all major search engines

 

One thing you can do is not provide a link to the site

Leave it up to the music industry to sort out.

Actually, I'm guessing this is bait - to see if the mods or Shawn remove the link thereby implying an editorial policy.

I care cos i am planning to start an online music store - and these guys are totally stealing off all the audience! Even still, i thought this is an issue to be addressed here. MC - i wudnt mind taking off the link(in code) if you could find out which site it is by otermeans.

I am removing it now - what i want is some solution to this from the heros around.

Any clues MC?

If I were you I would concentrate on your own plans and leave such things to the industry involved.

The link cannot be removed after a period of time during which you are able to edit your post. After that it stays 'as is'.

As I have said, your best option is to rank higher than them for their main keywords.

 

well i would say you just contact those people i will provide the link below they will take care of them and be sure that if they are using registered version of IPB if not you can contact and tell them aboout it and they get them in big trouble
