    I think $1 a site is paying too much for directory submissions.

    Why not use a directory submission service and ask for the directories to be PR3+. A service i used was posted on my forum for manual directory submission at $17 for 150 directories. Even if only 17 accepted you would get your links, but i reckon alot more would!
