What to say? The site has opportunity to collect good articles, good tips about anything...like About.com.

I suggest clear categorisation in How To Guide section.

I suggest some people who are experts on their fields could be asked and propose good sites, then admins contacted...Random submitting of sites won't make this place good, I guess.

 

It is good to see your project on air! Yeah it is a nice layout and I am very happy to be a part of this project; The coding was a bit difficult as it is tableless

Exactly a new age directory with high quality unique contents with both information and sites. It suits perfectly with the domain.

I would like to suggest one thing though-

Please do not over advertise it. let it grow both naturally and slowly. This directory has real potential to neutralize the new Google algo with all those unique contents having potentials to attract huge amount of organic inbound links.
