iFrame question

I have a simple email form I want to put on my site for the contact page. It recommends to use an iFrame as that is the easiest way to incorporate it into an existing page. I have heard iFrames shouldn't be used though. Will it be fine to use it for this purpose, or would you recommend a different way?

Why can't you stick the form on the main page? I use iframes all the time-- especially if I want to have it appear as if something on the page is updating while other parts of the page, remain static. iFrames are very effective for this. Email -- forms? I put them on the main page.

    Q...
