A link has to be clickable to be a link RIGHT? So if its not clickable, do you think it would be considered a back LINK?
Actually, I have seen some non-clickable text addresses appear as backlinks - at least when using iwebtool's backlink checker. Here's an example; the 3rd link from ebay is in plain text. Other tools don't show this, so perhaps it's false. I'm sure search engine bots are clever enough to spot http:// urls within text. I guess they'll be given relatively low weighting, depending on the relevancy of the page and the nearby text. Cryo.
