If your site ranked #1 in both Google and Yahoo. Where would bring you more traffics?

    I saw many threads compare Google and Yahoo in terms of traffics generated and they are totally differences. Some say Yahoo much better but most people say Google is much better than Yahoo. I assume most of them are never ranked same keywords in same position for both. My question is, if your site ranked #1 for similar keyword in both Google and Yahoo (rarely possible I think) then where would bring you more traffics? Google or Yahoo? :D What do you think? In my opinion Google would and Yahoo wouldn't.

    Google = Yields more traffic.

    Yahoo = Yields more conversions per traffic capita.

    Curently Google has 2/3 market share of all searches. That means that you will get much more traffic from Google, but it depends on youre niche. IMO Yahoo is a more bussines-oriented search engine and Gooogle is for the fun-stuff. I mean if you target project managers for example the traffic you will get from Google and from Yahoo will be near to equal. If you sell pink ipod nano's don't even think of Yahoo. Of course this is a very extreme statemend. You should allways work and optimize for both the search engines.

    it is possible to rank #1 in both! and in answer to your question google has more vistors so you would get more traffic by almost double.....unless your in a niche that for some reason has a yahoo following.

    You will get more traffic from Google without a doubt, unless your keyword is Yahoo? lol :)
