    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

If you would have $1000 to promote new site what would you do

What do you think about prweb.com press release. Is it worth it? Also how would yo spend money to promote new entertainment/music/radio site?

    Hi Jason,

Diversify! That's my suggestion. First, I've used PRWeb and I was less than impressed with the results. I'm not saying that press releases are not a valuable tool, but I've not personally seen the impact it has on a website start-up.

Next, If I had $1,000 to spend on advertizing, I would allocate a few dollars to several of the following to start:

    Adsense campaign
    Advertizing space on related sites
    SEO optimization company
    Create a newsletter

Let the traffic run for a while and determine the best bang for your buck, then spend where you get the most impact.

"yea, but where do you sent it?" you will send it to your subscribers. They will subscribe via usual contact form. Box with this form can be located somewhere in good place in homepage.

If you advertise, for $1,000 you may get a rough estimate of, say, 10,000 visitors, if not more.

Can a press release do that?

Send them an e-mail asking that question.

Press releases are not a good route to take because more money goes into them than what you get back. Plus in most cases you get traffic in the three figures, when you want at least four.

You should pay for loads of articles and press releases and submit some of the press releases to free pr site.

Could also buy some cheap advertising/links in the advertising section here on digitalpoint

In my past I have used almost every form of advertising on the net. Different things work for different niches.

I would recommend spending the money on SEO/Link Building for the site. This is the best way to insure long lasting one time fee traffic to your site.

Don't hire a SEO firm to do this for your site, build the link in separate jobs, you will notice the huge saving. An SEO firm will charge you $1000+ to have your desired keyword phrase when you can hire people to do the submissions for under $200 for the same result.

    Just An Idea:
Writing article 5+ (Have them submitted 900+ Article directories) $10 each submission
Videos on your site 3+ (Have them submitted to 100 top video sites) I just paid $25 for 3
Press release 1 (Have It submitted to 100 free press release services) $50
Blog comment submission (Comment on related blogs in your niche linking back to your site) $25 for 100
Social Bookmarking (submit all of the above) $8 for top 100
Purchase sig links in niche related forums
and many more of these forms of advertising.

You can easily purchase all of these services for under $200 for this forum.

Don't waste your money on advertising that will continue to cost you over and over again. You won't see over night success but your site will be in good shape to take the top listing in the search engine for your keyword phrase allowing free traffic to come to your site for life, as well as adding value to your site.

    Goof Luck With Your Site.

Sorry, I did means adwords. I'm usually talking about Adsense, so it was force of habit.

I like the idea of putting together an opt-in mail list and sending out newsletters, html emails or PDF files that contain links to you site. You can link to specific pages that contain the information you refered to in your newsletter.
