Yes i agree but this pr is not a standard thing, it goes down in about 6 months and very difficult to maintain.
I AGREE! Not entirely. Most users do not know or care about PR...they advertise as well. Only most webmasters seem to care.
Rarely. I subscribe to the old adage: "How can you tell if a government official is lying? Answer: His/her lips are moving."
Pr is just a reference of good or bad for the site. A site with high Pr, like 6/7/8/9, of course will get more trust then Pr 3 sites. But all you are right, when we evalute one site we should not just watch the Pr. There are many elements you should notice. And recently I heard something called Tr which is more trustable then Pr. About Tr you can refer to this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TrustRank
It's definitely a trust issue. I would always trust the credibility of CNN (PR 10) over a new blog any day.
Thats only for people who know what pr is and that is only a handful compared to the amount of users who use the internet. I ask people at work that use the internet frequently about pr and they have no clue what that is.
You could never be more wrong. It has little to nothing to do with the SERPs. My site is much higher in the SERPs now as a PR3, then it was when it was a PR7.
Agree with Jim4767 in that Google PR is related to the site's position in google. The arguable issue is to what extent PR affects your rank.
nice,... but when you wanna sell something on your web, like link sales or blogpost,... people will seen you PR [easy way, specially on DP forum] ] or you can provide them the statistic of your's
