Hi everyone! As some of you may know, I'm slowly working towards finishing my site, http://dealcanine.com. I kind of need a push on how to write articles. Since my site is focused on deals, how to save money, etc... what would you want to read? I really need something unique to grab the attention of readers, but I don't know what to write about. I have two articles already written and submitted to Digg, Stumbleupon, Reddit, etc., but the articles have received absolutely no action. What the heck am I doing wrong here? I've been working on this project for about 5 months and I would really like to get started! Thanks for the advice!
I think it would be related to advice on where to invest and get handsome return in the shortest possible time My question I have is that if you don't have any idea on which direction to go, how are you going to further develop the niche?
I think you should focus in on something that others aren't offering that you think is important to your niche. Or improve something that others do offer. How can you set yourself apart from all the other deal sites out there? Cheaper prices are another way to go, but I don't know if it's feasible. Maybe you can focus in one a specific niche such as shoes or electronics and then expand from there. I love the layout of your site, but it was a little confusing at first, when I originally went there a few days ago, I only visited the homepage because I looked around and thought it was a place to find the best deal on buying a new dog - with the "fetch this" "Pawsome Places" and the site name.. Then I went back today and finally looked around to see it was a site to get deals on merchindise. Currently there's no items on the homepage.. I think if you add some items to your homepage (such as under "todays deal", people will be able to get a clearer idea earlier and may hang around longer before they bolt thinking the site is something else.. Also, I noticed the store takes you to an Amazon link, I'm not sure how many people are going to recognize this and leave or if it's just me (i'd never buy something from a store that sends me to another store and tells me about it). Not tryin to be a jerk.. just trying to help out. BOL.
Oh and I kind of got off subjuct there.. If I were to read articles about saving money, I'd be more interested in how you can save me money on popular products and products I'd be interested in, rather than how to cut costs here and save a penny there. Personally, I'd want to know what you can do for me that's better than what anyone else can do for me and why?
