1:Get high keywords related with your website content.
2:Make a good tittle of any contenet in your website.
3:Link exchange with other site.
4ost your website link in articles sites.
5ost your website link in all forum that are similar with your site & others.
6:Share your content on all social network site like facebook,twitter etc.

i am sure if you hard working on these issues you get first position in search engines

Create FEED also help you.

 

do not forget the ping everything related to web content on a regular basis

Yeah do as much SEM and SMO once you are done with your on page optimization. Facebook page and twitter page will give you Great targeted traffic and that will help you to get higher PR. You will be on top ranks in any search engine ofr sure.
