I think the reason they're doing this is they want to run their own PPC campaign and want to be more in control of how their brand appears in search results. It's not an unreasonable request as it is their name you're showing in your ads, but it's bad news if you have a lot invested in direct-linking. Those using a their own site, AOM or aStore with AdWords may actually benefit from it, since there will now be less competition. Well, at least until Amazon starts bidding.
Does it mean set link in Adwords direct to Amazon product site? I think AOM is still work because it has a landing page before direct to Amazon site. Any idea?
Thats a silly decision. What difference does it make to amazon that people send traffic via ppc? Its all traffic to them. It is probably even more highly targeted traffic with pay per click than other types
This way Amazon will hit itself. Alot of people who promote will be leaving amazon and moving to other programs.
