I've been running sites online for a few years now in the adult industry. I make a living and support myself, but it does get tiring waiting for the sky to fall in on an industry that seems to love to eat it's self. So I've been thinking of going mainstream for awhile now and getting out of adult. I have a few sites planned, but I'm still feeling my way around in the mainstream world. I'm honestly sick of doing affiliate sales and plan to move more into selling adds on this new network of sites I'm working on. I like content driven sites, that's what I've always done and know. So I was looking at building some basic build and forget style splog sites but I want to start a community orientated news/info network of sites for some long term revenue. I'm just wondering if you were to start over, knowing what you know today, what kind of sites would you run? Would you do the old build and forget static pages or auto splogs advertising various products and earn by AdSense style advertising systems? Would you focus on building information pages that are updated like news pages for a given niche? Would you focus on building community style sites and focus on selling advertising? Would yea do something different.. like drop shipping or what ever.
I would do exactly what im doing now, instead of spending 5 years getting to this point through trial and error
