If you saw a domain that was available for a high paying keyword, would you buy it?

for example.. lets say the domain homeequityloans.com was available... would you pick it up just because of the domain name?

Does the domain help a lot in ranking? (assuming you have your pages SEO down... and a good number of backlinks etc etc)

or does it make a very very small difference?

    Yes, I would pick it.
Even if you don't find the time to develop it, you will be able to sell it for a nice price.
The domain name is just one of the factors, good authority backlinks are much more important.

Yes, why not. For the price of domain names it'd probably be a shrewd investment. You'd probably find someone willing to buy it from you at a profit.

If it's cheap, sure. If not, nope. IMO, there are still plenty of combinations to be found with keywords, yet unclaimed.

I would and i do quite often, your targeted keyphrase in the domain does have an impact.

Buy it, theres an article in Business 2.0 this week about domainers (professional domain buyers and sellers). These guys make millions/yr buying domains with keywords in them, then throwing up a cloned search page with paid ads on them.

Just type in just about any .cm domain and you'll see how agoga does it.

O yea. I would snag that domain asap.

I have noticed that keywords in the domain name really do help out search engine ranking.
