You have a website ranking well in Yahoo, but at the same time it's located nowhere in Yahoo? I think you should start there before moving on to Google. =p

Google can take much longer and you need higher quality links.

Yes Google would take more time than yahoo does. You can bookmark your posts to Google bookmarks and Google reader. Also ping your site in some pinging sites. It will be indexed in a week or so.

That was very funny.. I had to laugh hard...Anyway...

Obviously Google and Yahoo are 2 completely different Search Engines and to rank high in one doesn't mean your going to rank high in the other...Has your site been indexed by Google yet? What are you doing, if anything, to rank high in Yahoo?

Google indexes pages if it contains really good contents or it has many back links or it has good traffic,
so you have to work on more back links .
more over google is a cluster and crawler based search engine , it needs more backlinks .

The optimization for the two sites are really not that different. Theoretically the same things will work well for both sites.

Basically there are no differences in optimizing for Google and Yahoo in my experiences.. one may favor keyword domain that's all. But for Google, it really takes some time for the backlinks to build up before you can see the same rankings you saw in Yahoo.
