I have an Adword campaign and for some keywords, I have now moved into the top 3 and still have adwords top 3 also. Is it wise to remove the adwords on these cases?
if the ad is generating a positive ROI i'd say leave it there, its real estate on the results page. The more of the page that links through to your site the better..
I would leave it there too. More real estate on the page as foxhead says. You'll also know how exactly many searches on your keywords (unless they don't show all the time). You may also find that your ad convert better.
if i wear you i won't use those keywords for my campaign ur already getting traffic through those keywords so do ur best to make the most of every penny u pay
My godness we all dream to be at top 3 so if you are, I don't see any interest to send your money into G's pocket!!!
As shuman22 said, if you are ranking in top 3 spots for some keywords, I would stop my Adwords for those keywords, and try to get the first 3 positions with my Adwords Ads for some other keywords, for which your site doesn't show on the first page in organic search. Why pay for something that you already get for free?
If you are in top3 in organic search, it doesn't mean that your link will be clicked. I'd try lowering bids, to get to lower positions in AdWords, but wouldn't stop advertising (unless it has negative ROI). If visitors clicked on your Ads, it means that they didn't clicked on your link at organic search, it could be a missed sale..
The main thing is ROI, if it's good keep it. Secondly, via Adwords, you will know about impressions and you will be able to determine the CTR of your organic results. Like wildscout said, try a lower bid and lower your ad position. Gook Luck!
3rd is a great place to be ranked. If you are truly there organically, you may not need the ad words, however they can't hurt. The question is whether or not you are making enough money to afford them and if they are bringing you readers or customers. If you can afford to keep paying for them I'd try using different words and see what the results are.
I think ad word will be better, especially google. Its ad come in various areas related to the keywords, in result provide more traffic and better ROI.
The more your site is seen on the page the more chance you have of getting the visitor. Just keep a close eye on your ROI and this goes for any keyword.
Keep bidding on those keywords. Being shown twice on the first page, doubles your chances of being clicked. One thing I'd suggest - a different website for those keywords to the one that's naturally listed. This means if they click onto your natural listed website and then 5 minutes later, click your Adwords listing, because it's not the same website they won't exit immediately. I'm ranked high for some keywords but use a different website.
I have both for several keywords too, I lead the adwords to a different landing pages, so if people look at a few pages (both ads and organic) I get 2 bites of the cherry.
I have a site that ranks constantly top of Google for all relevant searches and receives between 1000 and 1500 visitors from Google each day. After a great many tests, we discovered that the organic results were receiving 5 times as many clicks as the Sponsored listing and so decide to stop bidding on all terms where we ranked well. A big saving in costs with little or no change in sales.
Check your conversions and analytics, if you know the traffic coming from your sponsored listings are converting why remove it? It would be like severing a limb (that brought you money).
agreed with most of the posters here..if your generating good ROI, why not keep it? the more mind share you have on the page, the more likely you'll get the click-thru and resulting sale...
