    There has to be a clear border between the picture and the add.

    Yeah.. Just put a separator between adblock and images. A few pix of blank space will do IMO.

    It has been always difficult to find out whats the exact thing about pictures and ads. I know that terms say that you must have a visible seperator between picture and ad. But I have seen many sites in which there is no such seperator. So I have been always in confusion about this.

    better to avoid the pictures, my ads without images, are giving me enough clicks

    Google now does not allow images to be placed next to ads. All the "advice" on having borders, separator, etc. are outdated. Search DP for recent discussions. Or even better, email AdSense Support.
