    As long as any link is "Do-Follow" (Followable) it will pass on some Juice. Not just face book, but statement goes out for any such link.

    Are the pages viewable by guest ?
    It seems every page I look at is asking you to login. If that is the case, then No, it will not count as a pr backlink.

    Yes it count as a backlink but you should try to get back links for relevant sites.

    The best way to know is experiment. Either see an existing page with link or post a link and then -> view -> page source -> Ctrl F -> search for the link and if it says rel="nofollow" then it will not give you back links.

    There are other ways some websites employ. Myspace eg, takes to to a forwarding link....
