Would it prefer it to have the header "Sponsors" or nothing at all?

Are those my only two choices?

Or are you open to suggestions?

Sure, name some suggestions? I've been using Sponsors, but I don't want potential link buyers to run away because of the word Sponsors.

If I was buying I would prefer the suggestion from KC Tan.

I never really like it when it says 'Sponsors'. With 'Recommended Sites' I also feel (as a user) that I might click on them purely out of choice, because the site is recommending them, rather than just having them there to get money!

i think the idea is that the sitewides and any links in general should not indicate that you might have paid for the links, as the links may be or have a greater chance of being devalued.

So the answer is probably nothing.

    thanks

It would be advisable that there is nothing on the page that indicates to SE that there are paid links.IMO, best position for an incoming link is within text.
