I had to see a doctor, the first time in a long time, so it was a new doctor. On the new patient form, it had occupation. I wrote, "Adventurer". The doctor asked what was an Adventurer? I said I could spell Adventurer, but I can't spell Entrepreneur.

    He smiled, and changed it.

But after I prefer to call My self Web INNOVATOR or WEB DEVELOPER or Optimisation Consutant :p that doesnt matter what you call yourself but matters is that how complited word you use for your work to tell others what you do.. When I am talkin to people who speak same language s I do i.e. hindi i usually tell them that i have my own work and help people make and publicise their sites on net otherwise I prefer to use some heavy names like web innovator :p ;)

After stumbling around in my brain trying to figure out how best to say what I do while balancing it with what the person I am talking to is really going to understand. I say I make webpages. I say I own my own Web Development Biz. I am the CEO of an internet website. I happen to be the right hand man to the President of the Internet. Ok maybe not that last one. Sometimes it's, "Ahh.. Let's not worry about that."

This is a good one...I don't make much yet but when someone hears about me doing stuff online and asks what I do I just say I own some websites and make money from advertising. I am taking e-Commerce management at collge right now and the wost is when people ask what that is. I didn't know so many people had no clue what the word "commerce" meant...or is it the E that throws them off

I think I'm just going to go with e-Commerce Specialist next time someone asks and I will point them to dictionary.com when they ask what that is.

I say that one too, why should you give people two random words and then blame them for not understanding. You can't beat a good whole sentence, you know its going to save explanation time in the long run.
