...how would you do it? Please share your thoughts. Fabian P.S. Here's my way of building one... http://www.MurderYourJob.com
The easiest way would be to build your own mailing list. Forget web directorys and adsense, MAILING LIST
To be honest... I'm not sure if I'd take a goal to build $3K biz (or at least that to be the final goal). It's a heck of a lot easier to get a high paying job (offline) than going after $3K online. I wouldn't do it by buying a report that tells me that I can get rich in a week. But I suppose one key element is to listen to those who have walked the path, and modeling them. Doing what you enjoy most, providing value to others, make profit out of it - and never give up.
uhmmmm....? article market your website? article market your blog? article market your forum? article market your products? article market your affiliate link? article market your squidoo? article market your hubpages? you get the point?.....
Provide a service. Build blogs, write articles, blog for people, etc. There is always a market of people who will pay you to do things they can not do themselves or do not have time to do.
First , You need to create a solid business plan. You need a plan of attack. In your plan you will have a financial section. You need to raise captial for you plan of attack. You need to carefully execute everything stated in your PLAN. Think like a CEO. Remember, this business must be something you truly LOVE. Because if you don't love it then why do it??? Good luck!
Marketing. Marketing. Marketing. Build a website on a specific topic and market the hell out of it. I.E - You open a web dev article website, advertise it on magazines and whatnot. Traffic is the key to success, without it you wouldn't be gaining anything out of the site nor was there a point in making it. You need your website/business to be wide spread.
But then whats the point of slapping all that content/service/product/support on the website if there isn't anyone to view it or pass the word around? It'll just be one dead site
Create a membership site and get those monthly recurring payments. I have a friend who put about a years worth of work into his site and he doing exceptionally well with his membership site 6 months into the launch. Find a niche or a few niches and take a look at the competition. If it looks weak, go for it. Even if it is not weak, you can still do it. It just may take longer.
