i will hire some quality content writers and ask him to write reviews and post on social bookmarking sites.
I would start off by payimg a group of nerdy students less than minimum wage to blog comment, forum post, social bookmark, and wrtie articles for a week or so - $1000 or probably less depending on how long you hire them for. Then I would get a professional copywriter to write me an awesome press release, then I would manually submit it to press release submission services -few hundred bucks if not less. Then I would purchase some dofollow text and image links on related sites with good anchor and alt text - highish PR - up to you how much you spend on that. I would then also buy some cheap PPC ads on search engines related to your keywords and banner ads on related sites - $1000. The left over money I would use to have a pro SEO expert optimize your pages for search engines (or in my case do it myself) and then have someone look at redesigning your site - (it's really a toss up between the onpage SEO or redesigning if you cannot do either yourself).
5000 dollars are not much in general to do miracles in short term but when it comes to web in a long or middle term, you have many many options. i would invest to Facebook and Adwords but not all of the 5.000 and i think that this is what you should do, no matter what you decide, Never use the whole amount for it. Always have a financial backup cause you dont know tomorrow's best deal. good luck
I'd buy a nice website script and kick start a nice website or do some promoting for my hosting service..
I'd pay someone $1000 to write articles, another $1000 for videos and rest, I'll make a plan and spend it accordingly.
I'll setup few big sites, and outsources my stuff (promotion, Content or anything else required) with that money. But then you need to research a lot for those websites, their target market, revenue sources and then promotions and stuff.
I would invest in really good PPC management company and let them set up & manage the campaign. These guys know stuff, and adjust to changed quickly if things happen. In my experience, they will bring in decent profit for long term.
If you didn't have a website already, I'd do my due dilgence and buy something off of Flippa. If you look deep, you can easily find something earning $600-$700 a month for $5000. Right after you buy it, you have a $600-$700 per month income. BUT... Since you already have a website, I'd (depending on the niche) try to get an awesome product created and market it heavily via PPC and other channels. With proper marketing, you should be able to make multiples of the $5k back in due time. Good luck!
This is what you really need to do with your money if you're smart. I've read what everybody is saying on this forum. Some have okay ideas, but no one really knows what to do with that type of money. Do not put the money in the bank for a long period of time. If you're going to use your money within the next 3 or 4 months, it is okay to put it in the bank. If you are going to invest for a long term, you need to put your money in real money, which is gold and silver. Because one thing people don't know about on this forum is inflation. Inflation is at 3 to 4 percent a year. By keeping your money in the bank, you're losing. Now if you have a website of your own and not an affiliate website that you're promoting, I would invest to put your product on television and on radio. No one is using these tactics and they work like crazy. It's called Google TV, and for $100 you can get your 30 second commercial seen by major cable networks. You can go to elance and get a commercial done for about $30 or $40 bucks and drive crazy amounts of traffic to your website for that budget that you have. You also can do the radio version of the TV campaigns also. But it all depends on the type of business that you are in. You can do Adsense and all those old tactics but if you want that bang for your buck, then these strategies are the best if you're running a website and not an affiliate site. And also I would use some of that money for education. They can take your business and everything from you but they cannot take your education that you will learn going to events or paying for books, etc. Anyway, I have to run. I can go on this subject all day. If you have any questions, just hit me up because I deal with this type of money daily. Peace.
