If you had $5,000 where would you invest it.

It's all in the title if you were trying to promote a website and had a budget of $5k. Where would you put it?

 

I would put a part on my forex account and the other part use to realize a website I am planning.

I really don't know that's why I asked people's opinions. I'm currently trying to grow my website and I'm saving something around that amount but have no clue where to put it so my website can grow. I guess google adsense although I wouldn't want it to be my first option.

 

I would likely put it in the bank and then look for some good advertising opportunities.

 

What exactly are good advertising opportunities in your opinion?

 

Ones that reach my target audience, are affordable and produce a positive ROI.

 

what is your product? surely you want a return on that money. if you sell a product i would use that money to set up an affiliate network and promote that.

 

1) Get a fully functional VPS.
2) Buy many domains, related to different niches.
3) Set up CPA.
4) Buy xRumer & Scrapebox.
5) Work on your websites.
6) Use xRumer & Scrapebox to bring a lot of traffic (Use them in the VPS, not on your PC).
7) Keep working 1-2 hours/day in your websites.

Seems like a nice plan to me

 

You probably shouldn't be so quick to dismiss Adwords. Take a couple of hundred and set it aside for an experiment. Then do some keyword research for less competitive keywords that you can bid .10-.20 cents on, set your daily budget and let 'er rip. There are courses all over the net on how to do Adwords but in my opinion Perry Marshall (Google him) wrote the bible on the subject. It is a subject worth learning because nowhere else (aside from Yahoo and Bing) can you turn on traffic instantly. Oh I almost forgot you can do the same thing on Facebook for much less than Google and very targeted audiences.

Buy a custom unique professional design, and spend the rest on advertising and promotion.

 

Personally I'd take some time out and look at some nice sites for sale on Flippa then try and make competitors. Works a charm especially if you have some cash

I would put half towards outsourcing articles and content and the other half towards and market research and PPC.

 

Invest in Google Adsense is just waste your time and efforts. Use half of your bucks in stock market and the rest to start your internet business. Affiliate marketing is a good choice for you to start with. Do research on what niche you are interested.

$1k > adsense

Suppose that I have $5k balance for business promotion, I will hire some guys in office and order them to do join millions discussion forum and make regular quality posting in forums because discussion forum is the best to connect new people regular and fast marketing method.

i'd buy an establish site and a facebook app script
