If you could sum it all up in 20 words or less, what is the most absolutely important thing you would say?

I would say "Treat is as a business. Build Backlinks, get linked from pages with high PR and don't give up"

Dont rely on PR, it sucks. Try and get laid with a google tech. Eat lots of vedge!

 

One of my sites PR went down on the last update but the google results to the site quadrupled. Othersites PR doubled from 2 - 4 but had no increase in google search results.

PR is a mystery to me.

 

I can have pr10 by the next update but it wont change anything. It just indicates how important your page is in google. You dont rub the thermometer when you want a better weather so you could go... OMG its 30c now! Instead use PR to see how well you are doing. IMHO at least...

 

My summation:
Don't make shit and certainly don't click on your own shit.

 

Create a site with content that is meaningful and/or helpful to people. Write it well. SEO it well.

 

Create something that is unique, useful, and encourages return visits.

 

Build your list and use it sensibly

 

Teh thing is the higher your PR is then your serps should be higher too... unless all your backlinks dont have any keywords in the anchor text..

 

Research. Find niche. Create a good business model. Build unique content. Build links. Refine and expand site. Love your customers.

 

Get tons of backlinks and fresh content. If you don't know how to sell online, pay someone a cut of your affiliate earnings to do it for you for every sell they help you earn.

 

if u have a online store targeted not only to americans but anyone no matter where, then work with someone to translate it in several languages. dont wait for your customers to learn english to get their money.
