    In my own experiences, keyword would be the really key for successful SEO campaigns. You need to have a thorough understanding on your niches and generate suitable money keywords to be used in building your sites and off page optimization.

    Start from the basics and move up from there - eat, live and breath it until you understand it forwards, backwards and sideways and don't just focus on SEO, you also need to understand search marketing, social media and understanding the back-end and inner-workings of a website (i.e. coding/programming/developing).

    Another one would be, Use White Hat SEO methods if you want legit and long lasting SEO effect. Avoid using Black Hat methods as they are practices which are not accepted and the effects are always short-lived.

    I can say that keyword research is play a important role in seo. Finding the correct keyword which is frequently used by many of people and having medium competition.
