If you could ask any question to any marketing guru that you have been dieing to know or just can't find the answer to what would you ask? Marketers Name: Type of Marketing they do: Questions You Have to Them: I'm very interested in what you all will have to say!!! Thanks
I don't necessarily have any specific questions. I know that Jeremy Shoemaker (Shoemoney.com) released fighters.com a while back. He basically went from little to no traffic, to having a large amount of targetted traffic over night. I would be curious to know what he did to achieve those results and where the traffic came from. Were they investments in PPC? How much of investment was required? I doubt he would answer those questions though.
I think that would be a great question for almost any marketer... Where and how did they get there traffic when starting out? I figured some questions would be tough to answer for them because they don't' always want to share their secrets, but you never know, all you can do is try
I would like to know how google became so popular and what forms of marketing did they use to promote it?
Cmon you guys/gals. I know there are questions that you would love to ask! What comes to mind when you think about how they market their products or services? Or where do they get their motivation from? Or how did they get started? Or what they did before they got into marketing?
Okay, what the fuck, I'll play. The one site that immediately came to mind was Askmen.com. This site was started back in the late 90's by three college guys. They got an Angel loan, and used that to advertise the shit out of their site, which got them millions of monthly visitors. I'd like to know how such sites found such investors, and where they advertised, and what advertising agencies they used. Other than that, that is all that came to mind. Why do you want to know, anyway? You bored?
Thanks for contributing! I never new that about askmen.com . That would be fun to learn about that. I'm asking because I actually get to interview someone that I really lookup to in the marketing field and would like to get as much as I can out of the interview. So I figured multiple brains are better that just mine.
Ya that would be interesting to know, it would probably vary a lot depending on the person and how they get their traffic.
I'd ask this as well. Not just for Google, but Myspace, Facebook, Digg, etc. I know a lot of it is word of mouth, but how much active promotion did these sites do to get to where they are, and through what channels? I guess I could probably Google it and find out.
"What's the biggest mistake you made as a Clickbank publisher?" Simple, to the point, and I'd really like to know. I'd ask pretty much anyone that actually was a successful Clickbank publisher.
