If You Compliment It Is Fine Right?

    Just a quick question here, if you use content from another website without asking but make sure you put a "Compliments of . . " at the end it is fine right?

    lol No... it's not fine to steal their content - you need the permission of the copyright holder. You can quote parts and add your own commentary (in which case you should absolutely be citing the original source), but you can't simply re-publish their work.

    It's the same as putting a sign on your TV that says "This television stolen from Best Buy."

    Just because Internet copyright theft is easy doesn't make it legal. :)

    Yeah, just like it is okay to take your neighbors car as long as you put a bumper sticker that says "compliments of ....."

    Um, no, it doesn't depend on the person. The only thing it depends on is the permission... if you don't have it, it's theft.
