I installed Yoast's SEO Wordpress plugin.

Changed aload of stuff and am hardly getting any traffic from search engines now. Have i done something wrong?

Was just wandering, does it take abit of time to climb back up the rankings? I was on page 2 for 'Football Kits' im knowhere to be seen now :/

    Thanks

In my experience, it's often best not to change a 'whole load of stuff' at once. Make changes to one page at a time.
I find Ultimate SEO the best plugin for WP.

Also try a free trial on Raven SEO to see how your keywords are ranking now in details. Good tool for formulate a plan for your SEO.

Just thought of another. SEO Suite is pretty sweet too.

Even if you do just get the trial to find out how you're doing. Remember, small changes at a time.

Yes, if you replace the keywords then you will loose the ranking for the old keywords...

Yes when you change your keywords and other things like title etc you must loose your ranking for the old keywords and then you get new ranking with your new keywords, that is up or down with previous ranking.

Let me guess - your links changed, and you had a lot of broken links? You failed to set up 301 redirects, so you lost your rankings. It has nothin to do with changed keywords.

That's absolutely right when you change you key words you must start from the very beginning.

Why would you want to change keywords? The best would be to add more rather than change, so you keep all the positions that you currently have and gain some more rankings for your new, extra keywords with their new keyword optimised pages.

Do you know the saying "don't fix what is not broken" ? It's hard to say what is wrong without knowing what the plugin did.

if you change keywords then you will lose rankings for your old keywords and slowly build up rankings for your new keywords...while this shift is happening you will lose overall traffic to your site so it's best to do it little by little.

Should be said that will certainly affect, because much of google's ranking is based on keyword anchor text is based on the number of trade-off outside the chain
