Just curious, if you were sandboxed and built loads of links really fast and triggered a filter should you carry on linkbuilding or slow down a bit?
Once you trip the filter you are in there for a while. I would work until you are in the top 3 spots for your main KW's in allinanchor then let it chill for a while.
Interesting theory smindsrt, Do you know how often google updates the rankings for allinanchor results?
So is the main indication for a sandboxed site a large discepancy in normal serps vs. allinanchor serps? If so, what is considered "large". One of my keyphrases I am #46 for normal search, and #3 for allinanchor. Is this large enough to be considered sandboxed? Another keyphrase is #102 regular and #12 allinanchor. I'm just curious becuase my site has been up for 13 months and don't know if it still possible to be sandboxed or if there is something else going on.
I'd disagree. If you built links quickly, I'd continue to build them quickly. If you built links slowly, I'd continue that way as well.
I think it also depends on what keywords your targetting. If you are targetting keywords like "web hosting", then you have to get links quick to catch up or keep up to date with competition. Example Webmaster A adds 5 links a week Webmaster B adds 50 links a week Who will rank the best for web hosting? In my opinion webmaster A is likely to avoid the sandbox, however is never going to get top ranking because there will always be websites out there with more backlinks. Webmaster B in my opinion is likely to get caught in the sandbox, however once this period has passed has more chance of ranking due to the number of links.
