Dude the Mexicans would haul ass and trip over themselves running across the border into the U.S. We're fightin them off with sticks right now. The illegals have enough of our jobs already. That's why I'm on DP. Not really.

if we din't have nuclear weapons and our huge army then im sure it probably would but right now in this current age if we were to go one nation the west would have considerable more power than the east just because of our military power.
If we did you would slowly see a decline in cultural identity and an uprising in gang-like activity as people began banning together to fight the people that used to reside in other countries that are now their rivals. Questions that would come up: who/what would be the ruling body? What would be our national language? What law system would we take? Would we have Saudi law, US law, etc.? What would our flag be? Would present day countries become sates or provinces or whatnot? Should we be a capitalistic or socialistic or communistic country? What will our money be? What would you need permits to move/buy/start a business or what? Whose patent laws would we go by? Its not realistic and I think we would end up with a series of walls stretching across the various continents (like we had with the Berlin wall etc) and what would happen to Tribal societies? Would they be forced to assimilate? Too many variables to be feasible.
