If we haven't lost something, then why we "Search"?

    Crazy useless question huh?

We search when we have lost something, isn't it? some may say "yes" but majority would say "no". I think the "search" is all about finding the "right answers" for your needs. If that is true, we can say that "search engines" are spaces where we find our "lost ones"! In fact, search engines are areas where we find out lost ones for the "first times". We haven't heard about them but we know there are "subjects" which we want to find.

You cannot satisfy "wants" can you?

That way "search" is going to live until individual "wants" are satisfied! They would only evolve...and so would associated beings.

And i think only one of them has this capability to evolving from present to next state. No names please. Even if there is innovation, majority won't be able to find it or accept it (until it proves)

There came yoople.net, kartoo.com and many other but couldn't dominate.

    Thank you

Actually, they're called search engines, because they search the web retrieving data, not because people use them to 'search'

You are incorrect. You just don't how to use Google correctly. Let's say you lost your socks. The way to search for them using Google is by typing in "where are my socks". The first site listed should give you the answer.:D

you are absolutely WRONG my friend! Search engines don't search the WEB, they retrieve listing from their databases which are properly "indexed". If you ask any one what is web? the most simple definition would be "internet". But if some "wants" to find or satisfy his/her "need", where would he/she go? Directly to a resource which he/she have no idea about?

tired and they would open up a search engine to find "relevant" information to their need.

Try it out, lets hope ;)

Search engines have store a lot of information about different sites in their data base. Now when you need to know some thing, like if I want to buy a car, and the time is midnight, no showroom is open, then I can use the search engines to find me different sites where I can check the prices.

Not sure where you are going with this, or what/if it is a question..

To "find" something, your first need to "search" (look or seek) it...
If you do not search for it, you will never find it. but you can always discover something by browsing aimlessly around the internet.
Seek and you shall find :D

Thats odd and in my opinion "un-believable". One of my friends had "toenail fungus" but couldn't find a cure for that. Obviously he had many pharmacies or doctors around, but, embarrassed he chose to go online.

According to you he can find his "desired" cure by
    .

What does aimlessly around "internet" means? doesnt that means "search engines" ? and most probably G or Y! he eventually found out his "desired" toenail fungus treatment through a search engine.

    Thank you

    Hello...

If you dont want to "search" then you "speak" or ask your computer related questions for answers :)

The only company that can make this happen is microsoft (jan 24th 2015) ;)

limited approach, they don't have the precise technology to search or approach every single corner of the universe. Search engines do, at least to what we need :)

What about the period when Altavista dominated the search engines with their limited databases? Could you see paralells between nasa and search engines back then?

"un-believable"? Well maybe you need to adjust your tinfoil hat then. :p

Couldn't find, or to embarrassed to search?

No, I said you can "discover".
and that you can only find, when you look, seek or search.

No.. But you can use a "search engine" to "find" the meaning to the word "aimlessly"

Great, glad he found what he was searching for :D

    Cheers

Some people also search for hidden treasure; new information that they did not know anything about.
