... where you put AdSense, and what format(s)? IYM: Emergency Fund I've been considering this for days, and my brain is beginning to hurt. I'm fresh out of new ideas. I know what I've tried on my other pages, and I'm just wondering if I'm missing something obvious. Later, Story
Good to see another member from OK! If I were you, I would place one vertical unit on the left side of the page, and then place two rectangles within the body of your article
Alfie, To this point I've tried to keep my AdSense units to 1 per page. Integrating them in the content has given me the best CTRs, while units above and below the content do nothing. I've never tried AdSense in the left-hand navigation area. And to be honest, as I look at it now, I am not at all sure how to integrate it over there. Perhaps a blended link-unit at the very top?
When you talk of one unit per page remember that your page spans several screens so the single ad unit will not be on view when the visitor scrolls. I would use several throughout the page spaced so that they are not all on view at the same time.
I agree with RTBanfield, one in the left hand nav pane and then 250x250 blocks heading up your write-ups. Perhaps right where that Amex card graphic is to start.
Okay. I've made a couple of the suggested ad placements. The left nav has a 2-ad banner, and there's the obvious 250x250 square at the top of the article. Is the page looking a bit more "productive" now? IYM: The Emergency Fund
