No way, Each search engine has its own methodology to provide search results. so your thought is wrong.

Probably. If your increase in Google came from backlinks anyway.

Not necessarily. Sometimes the top 10 results for google and bing is somewhat different.

Why would it? They are completely different companies.

    It simply doesn't make sense.

Not really, bing and google use different ways to index sites. For example my site has not been indexed on bing till yet but has quite a good position on google.

Bing's algorithm is different than Googles so you wont find the same rankings. Within the next year or so I can see Bing changing to be more similar to the way google's ranks sites though. Its just a matter of time.

It doesn't work if you rank high in Bing you rank high everywhere, that doesn't really make sense. However if you rank high in Google, chances are good you'll rank high in Bing/Yahoo! for similar keywords.

Not really true either. It's easy to rank high in google but not bing/yahoo.

No, Google and Bing use different algorithms. I rank differently on both search engines. Actually, I rank better on Bing. :)

How you rank depends on the quality of your site and the backlinks. Put your main keywords into the page title, meta description and domain name of your site and you'll probably find yourself at the top of Yahoo in no time. Google is waaaay too clever to let that happen. Bing is a strange beast and it's hard to figure out what it likes. I think it is "evolving" all the time, so what works today might not work tomorrow.

Both search engines have different rankings based on their algorithms.Bing is not all Google. There is no page ranking unlike Google. The back linking factor is also treated a second important issue in Bing. The back linking factor is also treated a second important issue in Bing. Important factors to rank higher in Bing are Content, backlinks and its relevancy.

Yeah, this is very weird. Goolge has indexed my website's 2700 pages but Bing has only 1 page indexed. What can I do to make bing index more pages for my website?
