If someone's copies my article, and I modify it later on my own site,

    depends on who google finds first, who has more authority, who gets more links to the article.

    What CB said is true.

    But, I would try to get the other person to remove their stolen copy of your article from their site first and then update your original.

    Totally depends on which site gets crawled first. You don't need to change your content. Google is very intelligent and knows everything.

    one of the site completely copied the contents in my site , what can i do about it ?? even meta description later i changed mine. that page is also in 1st page (probably 6-7) and mine is in #1 . i would be happy if someone suggest me what can be done to take that site down
